Historic church in Ithaca
St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, built in 1833, is the oldest church structure in Ithaca and one of the first of the A.M.E. Zion churches in the country. We are proud to hold the title of having the oldest-surviving church structure within the A.M.E. Zion Church ministry.
As a treasured landmark of Ithaca's religious heritage, we desire to preserve and share the history of our church, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and cultivate relationships with God’s people.
